• Incineration in France: The web page www.incineration.org provides very detailed information about incineration (i.e., waste-to-energy) in  each region of France, including the new WTE plants built in 2006 and 2007. Unfortunately, this web page requires knowledge of French. WTERT has contacted Incineration.org asking them, if possible, to provide some translation into English of at least the titles of the very useful content of their web page. The French environmental agency ADEME reported that in 2004, French WTEs produced about 3,000 GWh of electricity, that is nearly 25% of the power generated by the U.S. WTE industry.
