TThe Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics at Columbia University in New York City invites applications for a limited term Assistant Professor position in the area of applied and computational mathematics. Faculty Position in Neural Engineering
The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in Neural Engineering. Level of appointment depends on qualifications. Specific areas of interest include: neuroimaging, neural tissue engineering, neuromorphic engineering, computational neural modeling and brain machine interfaces. Successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to develop a world-class research program, be capable of obtaining competitive external research funding, and participate in and be committed to outstanding teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Chemical Engineering announces a faculty position to be filled at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position starting July 1, 2009. The rank of the position is open and will depend upon the qualifications of the chosen applicant.
We seek an individual with a PhD or equivalent degree in a quantitative discipline to teach and conduct research in financial engineering and/or quantitative finance. We are especially interested in the areas of asset and derivatives valuation, interest rate, volatility and credit modeling, risk management, empirical data analysis, and computational methods. Candidates who have had or would enjoy developing links with the financial industry and its practitioners are particularly encouraged to apply.
