In 1968, Dr. Faggin invented silicon gate technology. Later, while at Intel, Dr. Faggin helped design the first microprocessor, the Intel 4004 and the succeeding 8-bit model, the Intel 8008. Dr. Faggin is the co-founder of Synapitcs, Inc., where he currently serves as president.
